This ex- Belgian champion was most succefull with this outstanding Ritmo. Driving for Fiat Belgio he was Belgian champion and won many general and classvictories with tis car. This is the same car than I own know and where you can see the photos of in this Ritmo 75 gr2 section.
I will show you by these pictures how a professional cars' decoration can change during months and years. As a fact cars do change and thats for at least a big part what is making a history for a car. Cars live! Not only in years but also the decoration, the pilots driving with it, the mechanics and engineers that worked on it, the adventures and results in the diffrend rallies and so on. That is what a car is breathing once you come inside or drive with it. An historic car like this looking brand new as it comes right out of the Abarth workshop, even when it is real and has racinghistory, in my opinion will never have this. The way my car is being restored now is just a new chapter in the history of the car. And I have to say Guy did well so far....

Some more information we've got from Willy Plas:
In order to compete in the Belgian championship, Willy Plas had at his disposal 2 Ritmo 75's that Fiat Belgio bought directly from the factory. One car was fully prepared with top factory gear. This was his Competition car, the car you can see on the photo's of the previous message. The other car was also made in de Abarth workshop, with Abarth gear but slightly inferior in for instance shockabsorbers (which on the competitioncar where Bilsteins in stead of Abarth's), carburettors (in stead of indirect injection) and brakes. This was his training vehicle. This car was after some time turned over to Dortu who did several rallies with it before it accidently caught fire. This car doesn't exist anymore. I show you the only photo I found of this car.

This is a picture of the training Ritmo of Willy Plas. Here it is driven by Dortu who got the car at his diposal for some seasons. As mentioned before this one is with carburettors. This car is distructed by a fire and unfortunately doesn't exist anymore.
